Uses
Cipflox (Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride) is an antibiotic which is considered effective in treating a wide range of bacterial infections, such as chest infections, urinary tract infections and gastrointestinal system infections. In some cases, it may be used to treat gonorrhoea. In addition to treating many different types of infection, it is also used to prevent anthrax in patients who have been exposed to its germs, and may also be given to treat infections in patients suffering from HIV.

Dosage and Administration
Cipflox (Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride) comes in the form of 500mg tablets, which must be taken by mouth. The exact dosage will vary for each patient, depending on the condition it is being used to treat. Because of this, you will need to see your doctor so that the correct dosage can be prescribed. Most patients will notice an improvement in their symptoms a few days after beginning treatment. However, it is essential that treatment is continued until the full prescribed amount has been taken, otherwise the infection may return.

Side effects
Patient who take Cipflox (Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride) tablets should be aware that there is a risk of side effects occurring, including the following:

• Dizziness
• Anxiety
• Sleep disturbances
• Vaginal itchiness or discharge
• Feeling as if you urgently need to urinate

Patients are advised to tell their doctor about any side effects that occur. There is a risk of more severe side effects associated with this drug, however, this is generally considered to be rare. See your doctor immediately if you notice muscle pain, urinating less than normal, seizures, hallucinations, mood changes or any other serious adverse reactions.

Precautions
In rare cases, this drug has been known to cause damage to the tendons, such as tendonitis. This can happen both during and after treatment. Patients over 60 years of age or those suffering from certain health conditions are considered to be at more risk of this occurring. Ask your doctor about the risk of this before you begin taking this medication.

This drug may make the skin more sensitive to sunlight. Patients are advised to avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun as well as avoiding tanning booths. If you must go outdoors, your doctor will most likely advise you to apply sunscreen and wear protective clothes.

Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.

Always use Cipflox (Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride) as you have been prescribed by your doctor. Never self-medicate or change your dosage without first consulting your doctor. The correct dosage can vary depending on your health, medical history, and the severity of the condition being treated.
