Asthma Salbutamol Asthalin Nebuliser Solution

Uses
Asthalin Nebuliser Solution (Salbutamol) is used to manage bronchospasms and to treat severe asthma. Its mechanism of action is acting on the bronchial muscle so as to cause the air passages in the lungs to open up. This makes it easier for the patient to breathe and can prevent symptoms such as bronchospasms in asthmatic patients. The active ingredient in this medicine is a selective beta 2 adrenergic bronchodilator which is inhaled using a nebuliser.

After inhalation, it begins to act in the lower airways. By stimulating the beta 2 receptors in the lungs, it can help open up the airways. This medicine is said to be fast acting, and its effects can last for 4 to 6 hours. In general, doctors will only recommend treatment with this medicine in cases of patients suffering from chronic bronchospasms when conventional forms of treatment fail to trigger a satisfactory response.

Dosage and Administration
Asthalin Nebuliser Solution (Salbutamol) comes in the form of ampoules. Each ampoule contains 2.5ml of the solution, which is equivalent to 5mg of the active ingredient. The solution is only meant for inhalation, and you will be treated under the supervision of your doctor who will recommend a suitable nebuliser so as to ensure proper administration. The frequency of administration and required daily dosage will need to be individualized and your doctor will inform you how often to use it each day. Make sure that you obey all instructions given by the doctor.
