Keto-Diastix (Reagent Strips for Urinalysis)

Uses
Keto-Diastix allow diabetics to test for glucose and ketones in the urine. are a quick, convenient way for people with diabetes to test for glucose and ketone in urine. Glucose or Ketone content in urine can be in indicator that diabetic control is not being achieved.

Dosage and Administration
The two test areas on Keto-Diastix must come into contact with urine.You can collect a specimen of urine in a clean container and dip the strip into it, or you can pass the stick directly through the urine stream.

The colour of the two test areas on the strip will change colour. After 15 seconds, check the colour of the inner square against the chart labelled Ketones on the side of the container. After another 15 second (ie. a total of 30 seconds after passing through urine) check the colour of the square at the end of the strip against the chart labelled Glucose.
