Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder Atomoxetine Hydrochloride Axepta

Axepta (Atomoxetine Hydrochloride) is used for ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), a condition which can affect children and adults. People affected by this disorder have difficulty concentrating and focusing, and hyperactive behaviour is common. Impulsiveness also frequently occurs. This drug is not a stimulant, but rather a type of selective noradrenaline re-uptake inhibitor, which acts on the brain to cause an increase in the amount of noradrenaline, a chemical which doctors believe plays a vital role in the control of attention, activity and the ability to focus.

Dosage and Administration
Axepta (Atomoxetine Hydrochloride) comes as 40mg tablets, which are taken by mouth. Adult patients treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder are sometimes told by their doctor to take 40mg per day, as a single dose in the morning, or else 20mg taken as two daily doses, with one dose taken in the morning and another dose in the evening. After 3 days of treatment, the doctor may tell the patient to take 80mg per day, and in some cases, if a satisfactory response has not been achieved, the doctor may direct the patient to take 100mg per day.
