Uses
Ledifos is a combination antiviral agents containing Ledipasvir and Sofosbuvir. It is used as a treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV). Ledifos works by preventing the spread of HCV in the body.

Dosage and Administration
In is important that you follow the dosage instructions given by your doctor, as well as any other advice they provided. while taking Ledifos.

Ledifos tablets are designed to be swallowed whole with a glass of water and can be taken with or without food.

Side effects
Ledifos can be taken by most people with very low risk of side effects.

The most commonly reported side effects among people taking Ledifos are headaches and tiredness.

If you think you are having an allergic reaction to Ledifos (eg. rash, hives, excessive itching, unusual difficulty breathing, tightness in your chest, or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue) call your doctor immediately.

Precautions
In some circumstance, Ledifos (Ledipasvir/Sofosbuvir) is not a suitable treatment. You must not take Ledifos:

  • if you are allergic ledipasvir or sofosbuvir
  • if you are already taking another medicine that has sofosbuvir in it
  • if you are currently taking a medicine that contains cobicistat, elvitegravir, emtricitabine, tenofovir, carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, rifabutin, rifampin, rifapentine, rosuvastatin, simeprevir, St. John's wort, tipranavir or ritonavir

Some pre-existing conditions may be be made worse by taking Ledifos, while some conditions can prevent Ledifos from working properly. Before beginning treatment with Ledifos, let your doctor know if you:

  • are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
  • are currently taking any prescription or non-prescription drugs, herbal preparations, or dietary supplements
  • are allergic to any medicines, foods, or other substances
  • have liver or kidney problems

Ledifos can interact negatively with some other medicines. Of special importance:

  • Simeprevir because it may increase the risk of ledipasvir and sofosbuvir's side effects
  • Carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, rifabutin, rifampin, rifapentine, St. John's wort, or tipranavir because they may decrease ledipasvir and sofosbuvir's effectiveness
  • Digoxin or rosuvastatin because the risk of their side effects may be increased by ledipasvir and sofosbuvir
