Treating inflammation of the eye Loteprednol Etabonate Loteflam Eye Drops

Uses
Loteflam Eye Drops (Loteprednol Etabonate) are prescribed as a treatment for various conditions affecting the eyes, such as those caused by injury, inflammation or surgery. These eye drops contain a type of corticosteroid medication, which works by preventing the body from releasing certain substances that cause inflammation. This makes it an effective treatment for inflammation of the eyes.

Dosage and Administration
Loteflam Eye Drops (Loteprednol Etabonate) need to be applied directly to the eyes. Your doctor will tell you the correct amount to apply, as well as providing you with clear instructions on proper use. Before you apply the drops, tilt your head backwards and pull your lower eyelid down. Using the dropper, place 1 drop in the lower eyelid. After this, you may look down towards the ground and close your eyes for 1 to 2 minutes. In order to prevent the drops from dripping out, you can gently press on the corner of the eye, next to the nose. Repeat this process as necessary. Patients should not use these drops for longer than 2 weeks unless their doctor tells them to do so.
