Milixim (Cefixime) is a cephalosporin antibiotic which is effective at treating infections caused by bacteria. This type of antibiotic is related to penicillin. Conditions treated include gonorrhea, pneumonia, pyelonephritis, infections of the sinuses and nasal passages, ear infections and other infections not listed here. The active ingredient in this medicine treats the infections by causing holes in the bacteria's cell walls, leading to the eventual destruction of the bacteria responsible for the infection.

Milixim (Cefixime) is a cephalosporin antibiotic prescribed to treat a wide variety of infections caused by bacteria. The medication slows or prevents the reproduction of bacteria cells allowing the immune system to control or destroy the infection. It is normally used to treat infections affecting the urinary tract, lungs, middle ear, respiratory tract, or kidneys. Your physician may also prescribe the medication to treat other unlisted conditions.

Dosage and Administration
